Joshua Goodman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 16 boards. The match was his fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Terrence Hinton, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 15 points in addition to five assists and five steals.
Denmark-Olar smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Carvers Bay slipped by Cross 56-55 on Thursday.
Denmark-Olar better focus on containing Jamie Graham and Kenard Heyward as the pair were huge in Carvers Bay's win. Graham went 8-for-17 on his way to 21 points, while Heyward posted 15 points. Heyward is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Jaquan Hannah was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.
Carvers Bay pushed their record up to 20-8 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for Denmark-Olar, their record now sits at 17-5.
Keep an eye on the arc in Saturday's game: Denmark-Olar has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 45.9% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Carvers Bay, though, as they've only made 26% of their three-pointers this season. Given Denmark-Olar's sizable advantage in that area, Carvers Bay will need to find a way to close that gap.
Denmark-Olar took their victory against Carvers Bay when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 64-39. In that match, Denmark-Olar amassed a halftime lead of 36-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
