Cade Blunt's Big Game Leads Meeker over Cedaredge
Starting off the list is Meeker's Cade Blunt, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Blunt rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 35 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
The victory was the third in a row for Meeker, bringing their record for this year to 3-2. Blunt will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Roaring Fork on Friday.

Grand Valley's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Mason Schoeppner
Mason Schoeppner helped snap Grand Valley's 12-game losing streak dating back to last season. Schoeppner rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Those 144 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Grand Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Schoeppner will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Olathe on Friday.

Joe Hollembeak posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss).
On the season, Hollembeak has averaged 5.2 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one receiving touchdown. This year he is already up to three.

Clay Crawford Turns in Season-Best Performance
Clay Crawford produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Meeker to the win on Friday. Crawford picked up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Crawford must have Cedaredge's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Crawford saw the Bruins), he rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
