After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, White Pine finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dayton Dust Devils. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

White Pine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Sedlacek, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, White Pine fell to 3-1. As for Dayton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Coming up, White Pine will be taking part in a tournament against Lincoln County at 4:00 p.m. on March 8th. As for Dayton, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Hug at 10:00 a.m. on March 8th.
