Softball Recap: Basha Beats Casteel for Their Third Straight Win

Basha waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Casteel Colts by a score of 11-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-4 last Tuesday.

Morgan Bragg was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Liv O'Neil also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Bragg wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Basha lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their home run total in three consecutive games.

Basha's record now sits at 15-3. As for Casteel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Basha will welcome Tolleson at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Casteel, they will be playing at home against Chandler at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
