St. Mary's was led to victory by Mary Marshall Rankin and Emmy Johnson. Rankin scored ten points, while Johnson scored ten points. The game was Rankin's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Sottini, who scored six points.
Wake Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Caroline Hall and Emma Crissman. Hall dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Crissman scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Crissman scored a full 58.8% of Wake Christian Academy's points, the 14th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
St. Mary's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4. As for Wake Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
