Carvers Bay found their leader in underclassman Kenard Heyward, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Heyward has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kenneth Bateman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Johnsonville dropped their record down to 3-15 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Carvers Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
