In what's become a running theme this season, New Town gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Patapsco 58-24 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win New Town has posted against Patapsco since February 9, 2015.
New Town got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tarshay Bell out in front who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Nasia Hart, who scored 11 points.
Aaliyah Sanders and Kayla Gross certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Sanders scored six points along with two steals, while Gross scored nine points along with 13 rebounds and two steals. Gross is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.
New Town pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Patapsco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Town will take on Rosedale Christian Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Rosedale Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Patapsco, they will be playing at home against Pikesville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
