The Lone Oak Buffaloes fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past Chisum with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 53-36. That's another feather in the cap for Lone Oak, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Chisum still got an impressive performance from Emma Garner, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. Garner has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 20 times she's played. Addison Bradberry was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Lone Oak's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15. As for Chisum, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Grand Saline the next time they take the court. Lone Oak will host Grand Saline at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chisum will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
