After four games on the road, Twin Peaks Charter Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Weldon Valley Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Twin Peaks Charter Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Twin Peaks Charter Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They really took it to Vanguard Classical East for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-30 victory on the road. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Jaiden Specht and Matthew Wurth were among the main playmakers for Twin Peaks Charter Academy as the former dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wurth has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chance Mueller, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Weldon Valley got the win against Bethune on Saturday by a conclusive 55-32.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weldon Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zander Braun, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Braun hasn't dropped below three steals for seven straight games. August Filter was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Twin Peaks Charter Academy pushed their record up to 7-9 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Weldon Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
Twin Peaks Charter Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Weldon Valley when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 45-37. Will Twin Peaks Charter Academy repeat their success, or does Weldon Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
