Foothill took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Natomas Nighthawks by a score of 25-13. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Foothill wouldn't let Natomas keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Matthew Phillips, Jose Barraza, and Clifton Currie picked up one apiece. Currie got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of60 yards.
Although Natomas took the loss, they still got scores from Fabian Barron and Jaylen Melvin.
Foothill will head out to square off against McQueen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Natomas, they will face off against Ponderosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
