After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Butler, the Beachside Barracudas were happy to have found some success on Monday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 63-21 victory over Stanton. With that win, Beachside brought their scoring average up to 52.3 points per game.
Beachside found their leader in underclassman Morgan Cremen, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 steals. Cremen is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Walker, who scored 11 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
Beachside now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Stanton, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-7 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beachside will challenge St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stanton, they will head out on the road to face off against Wolfson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
