The Becker Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against Annandale, falling 85-57. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Becker's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Groskreutz, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Weiss, who scored 12 points.
Becker's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Annandale, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Becker will play host again and welcome Hancock, where tip off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Annandale, they will be playing at home against Big Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
