AAA Region 7 recap October 1, 2013
Tyler Beaver of Fannin County ran for the longest rushing play in AAA Region 7 this season against West Hall last week. Beaver scampered for 90 yards on the play and finished with 109 on the day as his team fell to the Spartans.
West Hall moved up to 161 from 206 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Tony Lotti's team was able to move up by topping Fannin County 49-7.
Fannin County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rebels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Trevor Stone has thrown for 941 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Noah O'Neal has 24 catches for 445 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Buford takes on the Spartans. The Wolves are currently in second, while West Hall is in fourth.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Buford takes on the Spartans. Jess Simpson's team has allowed 21 points this season, while West Hall has given up 56. The Wolves allowed 0 points last week as they beat Banks County.
North Hall extended the longest winning streak in AAA Region 7 this week by beating Dawson County, 51-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
