The Bozeman Bucks's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Port St. Joe with points to spare, taking the game 35-20. The win was just what Bozeman needed coming off of a 55-20 loss in their prior matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Port St. Joe lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alonah Segree. Despite the final result, she scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That was a full 50% of Port St. Joe's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Bozeman's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9. As for Port St. Joe, they bumped their record down to 2-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Bozeman will head out on the road to face off against Crossroad Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Crossroad Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Port St. Joe won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Franklin County at 4:30 p.m. on January 13th. Franklin County will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
