The Northbrook Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by Cy-Fair 47-11. While losing is never fun, Northbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1430th, while the Bobcats are ranked 687th).
Cy-Fair had a senior duo take command as Viviyn Mcleod scored 12 points along with two steals and Aries Tovar scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taniyah Davis, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Northbrook has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 15 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Cy-Fair, their victory bumped their record up to 12-18.
Northbrook will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cy-Fair, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Spring Woods is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
