Covington-Douglas waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against Welch as they made off with a 14-4 win. Considering Covington-Douglas has won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Covington-Douglas pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Welch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
