The Moorestown Quakers will head out on the road to face off against the Mainland Regional Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Moorestown fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. Everything went their way against Cherry Hill West on Saturday as Moorestown made off with a 35-14 win.
Moorestown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Caulder led the charge by rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. John Zohlman also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Meanwhile, Mainland Regional got themselves on the board against Egg Harbor Township on Friday, but Egg Harbor Township never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eagles 53-0 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Mainland Regional, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.
Moorestown's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Mainland Regional, their victory was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-0.
Moorestown took a serious blow against Mainland Regional in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 63-10. Thankfully for Moorestown, Jabriel Mace (who rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also caught a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
