The Munster Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Morgan Township on Thursday as Munster made off with a 55-35 win. The victory was familiar territory for Munster who now have four in a row.
Munster was led to victory by Cecilia Mason and Gracyn Gilliard. Mason scored 17 points along with six assists and four steals, while Gilliard dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Gilliard has scored at least 25% of Munster's points. Another player making a difference was Nina Garner, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Morgan Township lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Abby Wasz, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Honchar, who scored nine points.
Munster is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Morgan Township, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 11-3.
