Logan Bosma and Adam Taylor provided fans with a highlight when they connected against North Gem. The connection was good for 69 yards, the longest such play in 1A Sawtooth - South (8 Man) this season.
The Cowboys were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, North Gem triumphed over North Gem 60-12.
Lighthouse Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bosma threw for 297 and seven touchdowns and Taylor had 117 yards receiving. On the ground Bosma chipped in 92 yards. Eli Berndt helped Lighthouse Christian's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 103 yards.
Lighthouse Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bosma has thrown for 1247 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, while Berndt has 43 catches for 754 yards. Taylor leads the league in rushing with 502 yards.
A big matchup in 1A Sawtooth - South (8 Man) this week will be when Rockland takes on the Lions. The Bulldogs are currently in third, while Lighthouse Christian is in first.
