The Kenesaw Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell 51-40 to Silver Lake. Kenesaw found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post seven fewer assists than your opponent.
When it comes to explaining why Kenesaw lost, one person who can't be blamed is Maddox Wagoner. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. Blake Steer was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Jordan Faimon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Silver Lake, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Faimon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tayten Menke, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Kenesaw's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Silver Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenesaw will take on the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Red Cloud focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. As for Silver Lake, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Hornets at 7:30 p.m.
