Crosspoint Christian will challenge the Aurora Christian Academy Arrows at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crosspoint Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Crosspoint Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 22-5 margin over Maranatha Baptist Academy on Tuesday. Crosspoint Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Reid Mahoney made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Mahoney was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Crosspoint Christian's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Aurora Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against Lighthouse Christian, falling 17-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Arrows have suffered since March 22nd.
Sawyer Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rowen Haynes, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Aurora Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Crosspoint Christian, their win bumped their record up to an identical 7-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Crosspoint Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Aurora Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Crosspoint Christian skirted past Aurora Christian Academy 6-5 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crosspoint Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
