The St. Johns Redskins entered their tilt with the Joseph City Wildcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. St. Johns came out on top against Joseph City by a score of 45-35 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Johns also won the last time the pair played on Saturday.
St. Johns can attribute much of their success to Ellie Heap, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for Heap.
St. Johns' victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Joseph City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Johns will take on Show Low at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Show Low is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Joseph City won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mogollon at 5:30 p.m. on December 13th. Mogollon is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
