After two weeks on the road, Varnado is heading back home. On Thursday they will take on West St. John at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Varnado and West St. John will really light up the scoreboard.
Varnado have had to suffer through a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything came up roses for them against St. Martin's Episcopal last Friday as the squad secured a 59-0 victory. Varnado were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, West St. John put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 44-18 margin over Covenant Christian Academy. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point West St. John had established a 38-18 advantage.
Varnado took a serious blow against West St. John the last time the two teams met, falling 0-45. Maybe Varnado will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back on MaxPreps for all the details.
