Reed Point/Rapelje's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landen Bryant, who scored eight points along with three steals. Marshall Ulmer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Reed Point/Rapelje struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Reed Point/Rapelje's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for Absarokee, their victory bumped their record up to 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reed Point/Rapelje will take on Roberts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Roberts is ranked 107th, while Reed Point/Rapelje is ranked 127th). Absarokee will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Reed Point/Rapelje at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
