Volleyball Recap: Coppell Has No Trouble Against Desoto

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland Park, Coppell was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the DeSoto Eagles. The Cowboys have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

One reason for the win was Coppell's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Emma Pehl, who had 17 assists and ten digs. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six matchups. Zoey Ponsen was another key player, getting 13 assists and eight digs.

Coppell's record is now 7-2. As for DeSoto, they moved to 3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coppell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Richardson on the 26th. As for DeSoto, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Richland on the 23rd.
