Coppell won the last time they faced DeSoto, and Emma Pehl did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cowboys were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles on Friday with plenty of help from Pehl, who had 17 assists and ten digs. Pehl is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Coppell's got stronger as the match went on, holding DeSoto to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.

Coppell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zoey Ponsen, who had 13 assists and eight digs. Another player making a difference was Molly Williams, who had 12 digs and three assists.

Coppell's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for DeSoto, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Coppell will square off against Richardson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeSoto, they will face off against Richland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
