Baseball Recap: Seminole Ridge Wins Going Away Against Santaluces

Seminole Ridge hadn't done well against Santaluces recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went the Seminole Ridge Hawks' way against the Santaluces Chiefs as the Seminole Ridge Hawks made off with an 11-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Dylan Peek looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Seminole Ridge let Grady Endemann and Michael Donals run wild. Endemann scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Donals scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Vento, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Seminole Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Santaluces, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Coming up, Seminole Ridge will face off against Park Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Park Vista knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Seminole Ridge likes a good challenge. As for Santaluces, they will take on Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santaluces has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
