The Shawnee Indians lost against the Crestview Knights back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Shawnee was dealt a 62-22 defeat at the hands of the Knights. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Shawnee has scored all season.
It was another big night for Cali Gregory, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and two steals for Crestview. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Gregory has scored at least a third of Crestview's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myia Etzler, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Shawnee and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Crestview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee will take on the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Van Wert is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Crestview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ada will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 610th, while the Knights are ranked 46th).
