Football Recap: Mena Piles Up the Points Against Dover

Mena won the last time they faced Dover and things went their way on Friday too. The Bearcats blew past the Pirates, posting a 42-7 win. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Among those leading the charge was Chance Hughes, who rushed for 69 yards and one TD on only five carries. Those 69 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Mena pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points over those games. As for Dover, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
