If St. Stephens was feeling good  fresh off their  21-0 takedown of Alexander Central last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians took  a  28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Freedom Patriots on Friday. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Ryland Milligan threw for 97 yards  on seven of 13 attempts.   Jyrese Chisholm was his top target, picking up 85 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Izzy Payne rushed for 65 yards and three  scores.
  Kaden Davis produced another solid  performance rushing for 76 yards and a pair of  touchdowns, while also throwing for 193 yards  on 14 of 23 attempts for Freedom. 99 of  Davis' passing yards were hauled in by Juju Dominguez.
St. Stephens now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for Freedom, their victory was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-1.
 St. Stephens wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  41-16  win against McDowell on the 17th. As for Freedom, they have also already played their next game,  a  56-35  victory against South Caldwell on the 17th.
