The Windermere Prep Lakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Central Florida Christian Academy 78-49 on the road. The win was nothing new for Windermere Prep as they're now sitting on three straight.
Windermere Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brandon Bass jr., who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Bass jr. has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sinan Huan, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Despite the defeat, Central Florida Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Justin Brigham scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Semaj Washington, who scored eight points.
Windermere Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windermere Prep will take on Seffner Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 5:30 p.m. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 68.2 points per game.
