Basketball Recap: Osawatomie Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

If Pleasanton wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Osawatomie, they should've done a better job of containing Jasper Sallee. The Osawatomie Trojans managed a 53-48 victory over the Pleasanton Blu-Jays on Friday thanks in part to Sallee, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine boards. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high.

Troy Mosley was another key player, putting up eight points along with six rebounds and five assists. Mosley is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

The win was the third in a row for Osawatomie, bringing their record for this year to 3-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Pleasanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Osawatomie will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Wellsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Osawatomie is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season. As for Pleasanton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Heights on January 7, 2025.
