Mogadore moved up to 207 from 252 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Portage Trail - County. The Wildcats were able to move up by beating Streetsboro 47-23.
Garfield led the league in scoring this week after putting up 63 points on Rootstown. Brandon Davis ran for 189 yards and caught 1 pass for 30 yards in the win.
Woodridge's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tom Finegan threw for 180 and 2 touchdowns and Anthony Thurman had 112 yards receiving. On the ground Dalevon Davidson chipped in 214 yards. Tomas Pyle helped Woodridge's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 41 yards.
He went 13-24 with 1 interception.
Davidson was a passing and rushing force as the Bulldogs topped Field. Davidson's favorite target this week was Thurman, who caught 4 passes for 112 yards.
Thomas Benson was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Rockets lost to Mogadore. The 6-foot-4 junior grabbed 1 sack.
Davidson was a force in the backfield as Woodridge bested the Falcons.
Finegan put up the best numbers through the air as Eric Ervin's team defeated Field.
6-foot-2 quarterback Chase Chapman of the G-Men is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,137. He has also thrown 9 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Thurman. The Woodridge star has 28 catches for 456 yards.
Davidson of the the Bulldogs is only 49 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 151 carries Davidson has accumulated 951 yard this year.
