The Nipmuc Regional Warriors will head out on the road to  challenge  the Wayland Warriors  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Nipmuc Regional is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.4  points per game  this season.
Last Tuesday, Nipmuc Regional came up short against Blackstone-Millville  and fell  59-46. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Chargers  12-7 in the first  quarter.
 Despite their  loss, Nipmuc Regional saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  James McKinney, who  posted 12 points, was perhaps the best of all.  Logan DeMarzo was another key player,  putting up 11  points.
 Meanwhile, Wayland also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Newton South by a score of  68-57. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings  (they are ranked 241st, while the Lions are ranked 44th).
 This is the second loss in a row for Wayland and  nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Nipmuc Regional, their  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 12-4.
