The Sammamish RedHawks will head out on the road to face off against the Enumclaw Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sammamish will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Enumclaw is ranked 37th).
Last Friday, Sammamish strolled past Interlake with points to spare, taking the game 30-13. The win was just what Sammamish needed coming off of a 48-8 defeat in their prior game.
Ty Webster got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 278 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Webster is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last nine games he's played.
Meanwhile, Enumclaw put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat White River 49-6 at home. Considering Enumclaw has won eight matches by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Enumclaw's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gunnar Trachte, who threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 passes. Wyatt Neu was in the mix as well, providing Enumclaw with two touchdowns.
Sammamish now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Enumclaw, their win was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
