River Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Boice, who scored 4 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Nash Hanrahan, who scored 15 points.
Mohave Accelerated found their leader in underclassman OWEN HONNEGER, who scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of JERRY KELTNER, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Mohave Accelerated, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
River Valley will head out on the road to face off against Chino Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mohave Accelerated, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mohave at 7:00 p.m.
