Pelham relied on the efforts of Truth Wimberly, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 assists, and Sariyah Chester, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 0 assists. Chester is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for five games straight. Another player making a difference was Ja'Kieria Frazier, who scored seven points.
Randolph-Clay has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were beaten by Chattahoochee County 59-31 on Saturday.
Pelham's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Randolph-Clay, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.
