Zephyrhills has gone 6-1 against Gulf recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will host the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. Zephyrhills is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Monday, Zephyrhills came up short against Mitchell and fell 6-1.

Zephyrhills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hope Tackett, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gulf, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let Bishop McLaughlin Catholic get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Monday. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Jeovanna Carter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

Gulf always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop McLaughlin Catholic only posted an OBP of .214.

Gulf's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Zephyrhills, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

Everything went Zephyrhills' way against Gulf in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Zephyrhills made off with a 22-5 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buccaneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
