Maysville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last six games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Oklahoma School for the Deaf Bison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oklahoma School for the Deaf took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Maysville, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Maysville beat Thackerville 40-31. Given Maysville's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Thackerville is ranked 288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma School for the Deaf's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 27-26 to Marie Philip.
Maysville pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Oklahoma School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
Everything came up roses for Maysville against Oklahoma School for the Deaf in their previous meeting back in January of 2020 as the squad secured a 61-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maysville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
