After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eads, Cheraw was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Las Animas Trojans by a score of 40-31. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won six in a row.

Despite the loss, Las Animas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava LaBarge went 6 of 15 en route to 17 points and five assists. Those 17 points gave LaBarge a new career-high. Emma Netherton was another key player, putting up three points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Cheraw's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Las Animas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Cheraw didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-17 defeat against McClave on the 7th. As for Las Animas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 30-20 victory against Crowley County on the 7th.
