Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Joseph). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 38-0 victory over the Brookfield Academy Blue Knights. The win was just business as usual for the Lancers, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.
A big part of St. Joseph's victory came down to the chemistry between Zach Rizzo and his top target Dominic Rinaldi. Rizzo threw for 139 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes while Rinaldi picked up 52 receiving yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Rinaldi posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.
One reason for the win was St. Joseph's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Devin Brown and Sincere Williams, who racked up six sacks between them. St. Joseph received some extra help from Dante Williams, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
