Oak Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Harley Washington out in front who went 7 for 13 on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Washington a new career-high in points. Synarea Reece was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven boards and four steals.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atascocita). They really took it to Kingwood for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-30 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.
The victory got Oak Ridge back to even at 12-12. As for Atascocita, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-11.
