Ravenna and Arcadia/Loup City are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Bluejays will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after five games, but that won't be the case come Friday.
Ravenna is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Sandhills Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-12 win. With the Bluejays ahead 48-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Trenton Wedemeyer had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 169 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 82 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Jack Kucera was another key player, picking up 101 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ravenna was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sandhills Valley only rushed for 155.

Meanwhile, Arcadia/Loup City didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pleasanton on Friday, but they still walked away with a 50-45 victory.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Arcadia/Loup City's defensive line and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Wyatt Stieb and Joseph Ducker, who racked up four sacks between them.
Arcadia/Loup City's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Ravenna, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Ravenna has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 303.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Arcadia/Loup City struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 338.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Ravenna took their win against Arcadia/Loup City when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 34-12 score. Will the Bluejays repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
