Meanwhile, Hamilton County came into Monday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Saint Francis Catholic on Monday as Hamilton County made off with a 20-10 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Trojans' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Ralynn Moody was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Moody was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. She also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Hamilton County got a massive performance out of Tayln Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Johnson hit this season. Destini Cherry was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
Hamilton County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hamilton County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
