Softball Recap: Mountain View Has No Trouble Against Summit

Mountain View never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Summit Storm 13-0. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won eight matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Cadence Kennedy, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Kallie Eckman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double.

Mountain View now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Summit, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9-1.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will head out to take on Caldera at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain View will need to watch out since Caldera has now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for Summit, they will host Redmond at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.43 runs per game on average), something the Storm will no doubt try to take advantage of.
