After flying high against the Lone Peak Big Horns on Friday, the Ennis Mustangs came back down to earth. Ennis fell 59-49 to Jefferson on Saturday. Ennis has not had much luck with Jefferson recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arena Faler, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and six assists. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ryian Eveland, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Ennis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Jefferson, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ennis will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Jefferson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Broadwater at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
