There's no place like home for The Aquinas Institute Little Irish, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They strolled past Pittsford with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 24-10. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Aquinas Institute was the (much) better team in the second half.
Derrion Battle was on fire: he rushed for 262 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.
Aquinas Institute has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Pittsford, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5.
Aquinas Institute will head out on the road to face off against Fairport at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pittsford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
