In what's become a running theme this season, the Camas County Mushers gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They really took it to Hagerman for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-49 victory on the road. That looming 76-49 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Camas County yet this season.
Camas County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmett Palan, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Palan has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Troy Smith, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Hagerman still got an impressive performance from Ky Kendall, who scored 17 points along with three steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Kendall posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Johnson, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Hagerman struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win makes it two in a row for Camas County and bumps their season record up to 9-1. As for Hagerman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camas County will take on Dietrich at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hagerman, they will head out on the road to square off against Richfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Richfield is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
