West Jordan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Traeh Tuaumu, who hit 87.5% for seven kills and 13 digs, five blocks, and five aces. That's the most kills Tuaumu has posted over his last nine contests. Marshall Handy was another key player, getting 16 digs and five assists.
They weren't the only good server: West Jordan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Box Elder lost 3-0 to Bountiful on Thursday. The Bees haven't had much luck with the RedHawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Box Elder was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 18 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-18.
West Jordan's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Box Elder, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.
