With a playoff game on the line, the Stratton Eagles rose to the challenge on Friday. They breezed by the Tigers on the road to the tune of 69-14. Considering Stratton has won 12 matchups by more than 32 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Stratton was led to victory by Brody Webb and Cyler Notter. Webb gained 115 total yards and five touchdowns, while Notter rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Notter is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.
Stratton's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Notter was especially locked on to Cheyenne Wells' QB and sacked him 2.5 times.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Perry Chadwick, who threw for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory for Stratton keeps them at an undefeated 12-0-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points per game. As for Cheyenne Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Stratton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cheyenne Wells also has no future games currently scheduled.
